DJI Zenmuse Z15 Sony A7 3 Axis Gimbal

The DJI Zenmuse Z15 A7 3-Axis Brushless Gimbal is used with the Sony a7S / a7R cameras. The A7 Zenmuse gimbal keeps camera level and provides stabilisation while in flight. The Sony A7 Zenmuse can be used on both the S1000+ or S900 for the best aerial photography.

The A7 Zenmuse has a control angle accuracy of + / – 0.01 degrees for the smoothest aerial filming, with three modes of operation; two optimized for aerial video and photo use and one for FPV (first person view) applications. The A7 gimbal is operated using a dedicated stick on your radio controller, the radio / receiver must have at least four free channels that can be assigned to Zenmuse operation.

The A7 Z15 gimbal has been designed for use with a specific camera and lens combination, the camera and lense for the A7 Zenmuse are the Sony A7S / A7R with the Sony FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA lens. This combination of body and lens is specifically balanced for the precise setup of the gimbal. No other lens or body can be used in the A7 gimbal as it will not be balanced, this will cuase the system to fail.

The A7 Z15 Gimbal requires a larger UAV aircraft, such as the S1000+ or S900 to lift the weight of the camera and gimbal, the reccomended controller is either the the DJI A2 or WooKong-M flight control system. The gimbal design incorporates potentiometers to increase control, stability, and precision, and the internal slip rings avoid needlessly and complicated external wiring; all of the power and signal wires are integrated into the tubes of the gimbal, this provides unhindered control axes, allowing the gimbal to pan and tilt + / – 360 degrees and roll+ / -40 degrees.
