The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom is equipped with the latest in DJI’s camera technology. Powered by a 1/2.3″ 12 megapixel sensor with up to four-times zoom and two-times (24mm-48mm) optical zoom. Allowing more creative options capturing both wide angle and mid-range shots. Compared with a 24mm wide angle lens, the 48mm telephoto lens compresses your perspective enhancing the parallax effect for the classic cinematic look.

When shooting with full HD video, 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) gives you a closer view of objects further away, meaning you can capture subject from a greater distance at less risk.

With the introduction of Hybrid autofocus on the Mavic 2 Zoom combines phase and contrast detection for a higher focus accuracy with an increased focus speed of upto 40% more than before. An autofocus tracking system keeps subjects looking clear and sharp when zooming in and out.

Dolly zoom is a new Quickshot mode used on the Mavic 2 never before seen on a fully integrated drone. Dolly zoom automatically adjusts the focus in flight adding an intense warping visual effect to your videos. 

When taking stills in 24mm equivalent field of view, the camera captures and patch nine photos together with it’s telephoto lens. This results in a 48 megapixel super resolution photo with vivid details.

Hyperlapse allows the aircraft to shoot stable aerial shots and automically process them. JPEG and RAW photos can be saved simultaneously to a MicroSD, giving more room for post editing.

Hyperlite photos provide a low-light setting able to enhance your photos while drastically limiting noise.

With 4K 10-bit HDR support, the Mavic 2 Pro can be plugged into a 4K TV with HLG and will immediately play back footage with the right color tones. The brighter highlights and increased contrast are what make HDR video so appealing. Recording in 4K using the H.265 compression, the video uses higher bitrates meaning your images retain even more detail. Videos in the H.265/HEVC codec maintain 50% more information than videos in H.264/AVC, creating high dynamic range photos with more details.

The brand new camera features a 1/2.3inch CMOS sensor which has an active sensing area over four times more effective than the original Mavic Pro. This means that the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom benifits from this large sensor delivering better performance in low-light environments, with a more extensive ISO range 100-3200 (manual), 100-1600 (auto). The f/2.8-f/13.8 adjustable aperture delivers outstanding image quality both in bright and low-light environments. When shooting in low light, setting the aperture to f/2.8 will allow more light in to capture bright and clear photos. When shooting in well-lit environments, setting the aperture to a higher number allows you to lower the shutter speed and make your videos smoother and more pleasing to watch.
